Procedures & Treatments
Short videos explaining the injections, laser treatments, and surgeries we perform, so you know what to expect before your visit.
Injections
Most retinal treatments today are medications injected into the eye in the office. The eye is numbed with drops, the injection takes a few seconds, and most patients are surprised by how little they feel.
Laser treatments
Laser is used to seal leaking vessels, treat areas of poor circulation in diabetic eye disease, and seal retinal tears before they can progress to a detachment.
Retinal detachment repair
The right repair depends on the size and location of the detachment. These videos explain the main approaches and what recovery looks like for each.
Vitrectomy for macular conditions
A vitrectomy removes the gel inside the eye to allow surgery on the surface of the retina, for conditions such as macular hole, epiretinal membrane (macular pucker), and advanced diabetic eye disease.
Tests and exams
What to expect from the imaging and testing we do at most visits.
