Clinical Instruction to Optometry Students
Dr. Diaz is a clinical instructor to Optometry students from around the country. Students participate in an externship program and rotate for several months in several satellite clinics where they see patients with Dr. Diaz. Through their exposure, students will gain knowledge in the work-up, imaging, and management of retinal diseases that will help them guide their own practice once they graduate. Importantly, they will gain critical insight regarding referral timing – which is oftentimes crucial in preserving a patient’s vision.
