Anne L. Kunkler MD

Dr. Anne L. Kunkler is a highly accomplished, board-certified medical and surgical retina specialist. She completed her ophthalmology residency and vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at the renowned Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, consistently ranked as the nation’s top eye hospital and residency program.

Originally from Ohio, Dr. Kunkler earned her medical degree summa cum laude from The Ohio State University, where she was honored with induction into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha and Gold Humanism Honor Societies.

An active contributor to the field of ophthalmology, Dr. Kunkler has published research in leading journals such as Ophthalmology Retina and The American Journal of Ophthalmology. Her academic excellence was recognized with the esteemed Heed Fellowship, awarded for her significant scholarly achievements.

Dr. Kunkler is dedicated to providing patient-centered care and utilizing the latest advancements in medical and surgical treatments. She is excited to join the team at Retina Consultants of Miami and to serve the local community.

Outside of work, Dr. Kunkler enjoys spending quality time with her husband and young daughter.
